"Jim and his crew replaced all our interior doors and all baseboards (including painting everything)", Ryan Williams - May 2013
We were moving back into our home and had a few weeks between when the renter moved out and we moved back in. We were worried about hiring a contractor and not being around to spot check the work until it was complete. But I found Jim on Angie's List and we decided to risk it. We were not disappointed. Jim did an excellent job of of working the bid and only required 1 additional trip to the house to confirm all his measurements (and went on a Sat when our renter was home). Jim started work when he said he would and was done early. The new doors and trim looks amazing in the house. We didn't have any problems when we returned to the house. It was clean, and everything was in its place. Jim was very good at keeping in contact with me with questions and confirming anything throughout the process. He agreed to letting me hold 1/4 the payment until we returned and saw first hand the work, which placated our fear of poor workmanship. There were a few minor issues but Jim was extremely prompt and fixed them all (just minor details that got lost in the email and phone exchanges- things that would easily have been solved on the spot if we were living in the house).
I definitely recommend Jim for any projects you may have. He is extremely professional, dedicated, and honest. And I only met him once and didn't see any of the work until it was complete. We will definitely use Jim again for any projects we have. Thanks!

"Deepened a closet and converted it to a laundry closet by adding plumbing and electrical hookups", Tom Matthews -
Pittman's service was great. Jim is an easy-going guy that is helpful and understanding in plan creation. Work began about 24 hours after our agreement, which includes the time it took him to get the necessary permitting. The whole project was done in about 2 weeks I believe and all of the workers were kind and willing to chat about project progress.
The whole project included demo-ing a stud wall and building a new stud wall further into the room, then adding both 110 V and 220 V outlets, as well as W/D water and drain and vent connections. Also, linoleum flooring and bifold doors were added to the closet.
"We had a bathroom and bedroom added to the basement and they installed shelving in our tandem portion of the garage", Kathryn Augsburger - October 2012
We had a bathroom and bedroom added to the basement and they installed shelving in our tandem portion of the garage. They did a great job. Jim came out for a consultation and sketched out the best design compared to the 1 of 2 other contractors that showed up for their consultation and design. He had some smart ideas like chamfering a corner in the small bedroom that would help with flow in and out of the room. He also worked with us to supply most of the materials for the bathroom and had the bathroom tile redone since the first attempt (following my ideas) did not look right. They redid the work under the original quote price. Jim was a pleasure to work with, in my first remodel experience, and made sure we were happy with the product. We think the guest bathroom down there is nicer than our main bathroom shower upstairs! Pittman works to make sure you get what you want with your project. We would definitely use them again.

"I contacted Jim Pittman to do repairs on a home set to be put on the market", Joyce Occhiato -
Jim and his crew were professional, organized, and prompt in getting the job done. He made sure every detail in the house was completed to my liking, even contracting out for a painter and window replacement, which was very reassuring to know everything was taken of in the process. I am very pleased with this company and feel confident in referring this company to anyone in need of home repairs and/or remodeling.
The job went very well! I was exceptionally pleased with the work done in the house. The house was neglected by renters, and after his work was done, I am now able to put it on the market feeling confident every detail was covered.
"Jim added a 3800 square feet addition to my 35 year old house and perfectly matched it", Bruce Zimmerman - December 2012
Jim added a 3800 square feet addition to my 35 year old house and perfectly matched it so it doesn’t look like an addition at all but now the whole house looks a lot better. Included in the addition were two big double bedrooms with two complete bathrooms, one wheelchair accessible; a game room; a large family television area; a two-story morning room; a playroom; a fun room for “children only” on top of the house; a slide and a fire-pole—both from one floor to another; an indoor balcony; a mouse-hole for toddlers; a beautiful two-tiered patio; AND a trapdoor just in case there wasn’t enough fun everywhere else. And all this was done in a way so that even if toddlers or crawlers got away, they would be safe and unable to hurt themselves.
On time, on budget, and better than I expected—much better. When choices came up, Jim explained the options and patiently helped me to make the decisions. His ability to work with the architect and fellow tradesmen made for a smooth process from start to finish. He worked with the neighborhood Home Owners Association and with the Regional Building Department to get approval for some unusual features. His attention to detail made everything and every step as good as it could be. He is justifiably proud of his and his crew’s work. And all his crew take the same pride in their work. I couldn’t be happier with the end result. I give Jim Pittman my highest recommendation to anyone planning to build or add to their home.
An unused basement bedroom needed repairs. The old scratched up mahogany-slab closet doors needed to be replaced. Several options were offered by the master carpenter - and we settled on 6-panel by-pass doors to match the rest of the house and optimize space. Two walls were poorly finished by the previous owner - and need re-taping, mudding and texture. Jim Pittman responded quickly to my request. We met that same day. He assessed the work required and immediately knew who on his crew were available and could complete the job professionally and expediously. His team arrived the next morning, on time, as stated. They clarified my work request to ensure a mutual understanding of the work requested, they provided knowledgeable options for variations, then checked with Jim, and proceded to work. They were polite, respectful of entry and exit of the house, laying down protective drop cloths, and using the basement window to speed transport of materials and equipment. The jobs needed a bit of creative problem solving. The team knew what products to use and where to get additional items to create the right soutions. Jim's team were truely craftsmen in their skills. They didn't cut corners, they made sure the end product was seamless with the rest of the room. In addition, Jim worked with my schedule. My husband's breathing was compromised due to his military service in Afghanistan...and has already moved to a lower altitude. This left me to prepare the house for sale. Jim has made this last portion of the journey to join my husband a burden lightened. Thank you sooooo much for your help and professionalism! I would recommend Jim Pittman Construction and crew for quality, value, timeliness and price.
BUILDING YOUR DREAMS INTO REALITY!
"Remodeled basement, Kitchen & bathroom and other general areas", Urszula Teterwak - December 2013
Four new walls framing, drywall installation and texture
Relocating washer/dryer hook-up
Removing old and installing new tiles in the entry and laundry room
Removing soffits in the kitchen and installing drywall and texture in its place
Building a new closet and installing a new entry door and interior window in the office
A lot of electrical work involved
Some other jobs
Every one person was very nice and professional. It was a pleasure to work with Jim Pittman and his crew members Dan, Kim, Nate, Joe and others.
The job was finished on time and priced as quoted with one reasonable adjustment.
Always on time, a scheduled appointment never missed. All changes to the schedule were announced in advance. Excellent communication by e-mail and phone.
Attention to detail, not taking shortcuts. For example, the hardy backer sheets under the tiles were sealed together. Overall, VERY good quality of work.
After the job was finished and paid for, there was a problem with the dryer. It tumbled but the heat was off. We suspected the dryer was out of order, but Sears technician pointed to the electrical connection problem. Jim offered us reimbursement for the technician visit, came immediately with the electrician and did not charge for the work done even as in the end it happened not to be related to the job done by his company.
When remodeling the laundry room, the time when dryer and washer were disconnected was kept to the minimum
"Found Jim's company on Angie's List to put planks over a popcorn ceiling for my 1970's ranch home",
Lisa Forbes - April 2014
Found Jim's company on Angie's List to put planks over a popcorn ceiling for my 1970's ranch home in July of 2013. Since then his company has helped me remodel my entire house to include all ceilings, trim, painting inside and out, and most recently a new deck with a fantastic handrail and privacy wall. He will be remodeling my kitchen, building a new storage shed and turning an existing shed into an outdoor kitchen this spring/summer. I am professional business woman who dreads having to bring contractors/ service providers into my home. From the first meeting, Jim was professional and offered up ideas within cost ranges. His team include Dan, Kim and Nate. They are outstanding in skill and show absolute respect for my home, continued kindness to my animals and always communicate to me all information I need to know. While all three have contributed ideas that enhanced my remodel, Dan in particular, came up with the handrail and privacy wall design. I have received complements on both from everyone who enters my home. To say they all, Jim included, are great at their jobs and have a passion for what they do is an understatement. Jim is onsite often and checks in frequently by phone to just touch base and make sure everything is as I hoped it would be. I had a terrible experience with a gutter company during which Jim just happened to be onsite. I told him what I heard the men saying and he stepped in and handled it. He had no financial interest in the deal but just wanted to help me as he saw I was being mistreated. I can't tell you how much I appreciated what he did for me. Pittman Construction is a high quality company run by and employing people I genuinely respect and have come to count on.
Please take a look at our reviews on Angie's List!!
Jim and his crew are absolutely awesome. They are truly perfectionists. Number 1, they do great work, but they are also always on-time ready to work and take great pride in cleaning up after themselves everyday. I have two small children and I never had to worry about my kids getting hurt because of any debris left lying around. What I love best about Pittman Construction is that you aren't working with different sub-contractors, you are working with actual employees which means they aren't trying to race to get the work done at the cost of quality so they can move on to the next project. I would highly recommend Pittman and will be using them again in the future if my needs arise.
"Jim and his crew are absolutely awesome. They are truly perfectionists", Ian Harden - October 2014
Jim and his crew did a fantastic job with the two door projects I had for him! He is one of the few contractors I have worked
with that has exceptional communications skills. Jim contacted me within hours of me submitting my service requests.
He was flexible and able to work around my work schedule to complete both jobs in our agreed upon time frame. His
team's craftsmanship is top notch! The door they installed at the top of my basement stairway looks like it was originally installed when the house was built! All of the work including the framing, drywall, texturing, and painting are of the highest quality.
Each of his team members not only provided top notch work, but they have exceptional customer service skills!
I will use Jim on any of my new construction and remodeling projects! I highly recommend Pittman Construction to
anyone looking for a licensed construction and remodeling contractor. Thanks Jim to you and your team for handling
my projects in such a professional manner!
"His team's craftsmanship is top notch!", Cindy Richey - February 2015
The workers were professional and listened to what we were wanting. They also offered suggestions that were very helpful. They cleaned up after themselves very well. When a third party messed up, they were right on it letting us know every step of the way. They worked hard to get the situation rectified. I was very impressed.
We love the end result. They put out good quality products. They aren't done until it is done right. The wall is straightened up and a good quality back door is put in properly. Our pantry is first rate. Not much more to say except I would recommend them to anyone.
"They aren't done until it is done right",– Amy Seder -
Working with Jim Pittman, Briana and his team was a fantastic experience. they met and exceeded ALL of our expectations. They were very professional, knowledgeable, supportive, punctual and the quality of all the work they completed was top notch. They all helped us through a large renovation project and were always there to answer any questions that we had. We will definitely go to them first in the future with any of our renovation/construction needs.
"They met and exceeded ALL of our expectations", Amy Buzze - November 2016
Jim and his crew were SO easy to work with. They were profession at all times, responded quickly to my emails, gave me a realistic timeline, and always told me when they were going to return to get to the next phase in the project. I also appreciated that Jim and Briana worked very hard keep us on budget and their estimate was on point. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
"I would hire them again in a heartbeat", Kathryn Sieminski - November 2017
Working with Jim and his crew was a great experience. I had the opportunity to work from the house for the majority of the several month process while the team worked on the job. I enjoyed the team so much I was actually really sad to see them go. In their place they left us with a beautiful finished basement, built to our specifications, that we are now thoroughly enjoying as a family. I would give my absolute unconditional recommendation to Pittman Construction, the quality of their work, their crew, their choice in sub contractors and their communication, you wont be disappointed.

Thanks Jim and crew!
